I stumbled across this awesome idea on a few different blogs and thought I’d incorporate it into mine as well: Weeklyl Bump Updates! While I missed out during the first trimester, I thought I’d get us caught up today. So, here’s my first Bump Update and I’m covering weeks 4-13.
Total weight gain: 0 lbs. I was pretty nauseous the first trimester, so no weight gain just yet. My doctor said that was common and not to worry. As long as my appetite picks up in the second trimester, I’ll be able to make up the weight. I still notice a difference in my tummy though!
Maternity clothes? Nope. Not yet.
Stretch marks? No. I did stock up on Belly Balm from Honest Co. so I can start building good habits early. I’m not sure how much you can actually prevent, but staying hydrated (by drinking water & using a moisturizer) is bound to help.
Sleep: Sleeping great! No crazy dreams, maybe one or two weird ones.
Workouts: None 🙁 In our 6th week, I found out that I have a small bleed that requires restricted activity, so no workouts for me for a bit!
Diet: Hungry all the time for some Mexican food! Unfortunately, I have no desire to actually eat with all the nausea. It seems to help if I always have something in my stomach, so AK has been keeping frozen burritos within reach at all times!
Best moment this
week trimester: Seeing baby for the first time! That little blob stole my heart within seconds.
Miss anything? Not really! I’m too sick to enjoy drinking or really any sort of activity that I may otherwise miss. I can’t wait to tell everyone so there’s less concern as to why I’m leaving the office so frequently!
Food cravings: MEXICAN. Specifically Taco Bueno (an Oklahoma Tex Mex fast food restaurant. Bean Burrito with onions, please!)
Anything making you queasy or sick? Waking up, water, food, everything.
Gender: We just found out through Genetic Testing! I’ll share in the next post 🙂
Labor signs: Nope
Symptoms: Nausea, cramping, little bleeding. Doctor reassures that everything should work itself out.
Belly button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off: On.
Happy or moody most of the time: Never been happier to be so sick.
Looking forward to: Sharing the news!
