Bump Update: The Third Trimester

Wow. I can’t believe this is my final Bump Update. I’m sorry I haven’t kept a detailed record of the last 11 weeks. It’s been a long, tough road.

Total weight gain: 30.5 lbs. – exactly where they wanted me! Isla was born 1 week early at 39 weeks.

Maternity clothes? Yep! Maternity everything.

Stretch marks? I’m shocked to say I only had one stretch mark – right by my belly button where I had it pierced back in high school.

Sleep: Sleep did not come easy in the third trimester. I’m sure everyone says that – between the frequent trips to the bathroom and general discomfort, I was only getting a few hours at a time.

Workouts: Light walks & GOLF!

Diet: Anything in small portions! My belly got so big, there wasn’t room for much.

Best moment this week:  We had so much fun getting Isla’s nursery put together. I was on Procardia until 37 weeks, but once I was off we started to relax more. We even went golfing on week 38 and it was the best round I’ve ever played!

Miss anything? My pre-baby body. I’m ready to walk normally and comfortably again!

Food cravings: None. They’ve strangely gone away. Oh wait, honey mustard…

Anything making you queasy or sick? Procardia + Over eating!

Gender: Girl

Labor signs: Off and On. I continued to struggle with contractions up until Isla’s birthday when they finally said “that’s enough” and induced.

Symptoms: Swollen. Everything is just so swollen! Isla has dropped and is ready to come out 🙂

Belly button in or out? OUT! It seems like it popped more and more every day starting around 30 weeks.

Wedding rings on or off: Wedding band off, engagement ring on.

Happy or moody most of the time: Whew. I don’t even know what to say about all these emotions.

Looking forward to: Having Isla in my arms!
