Recipe: Sea Salt Honey Butter Popcorn

In less than 2 weeks, I will be soaking up some serious sun on the beach in St. Maarten. Like any girl, I’ve thought about my wardrobe and realized that 90% of my time on vacation will be spent in a swimsuit. While I think that everyone should just rock their body no matter the shape or size, I naturally feel a desire to cut back on the icecream (Have you tried this Tahitian Vanilla Bean Gelato? It’s my life) and score some confidence points by tightening up.

I’d been doing great until late last night. I was frantically searching through my pantry in search of the perfect snack to end all the madness of these serious cravings. Luckily, I had all the ingredients for this surprisingly delicious popcorn snack – Sea Salt Honey Butter Popcorn.

It was super easy to pull together – the only mistake I made was pouring the honey butter mix over the popcorn before letting it cool a little first. The too-hot glaze made the first popcorn pieces it touched shrivel and become a little soggy. I like my popcorn with a little crunch… OH! And, I used about half as much butter to make it a little healthier. Anyway, here’s the recipe from TheFauxMartha.com. I hope you enjoy it too!

SEA SALT HONEY BUTTER GLAZE
INGREDIENTS
2 tbsp. butter, melted
2 tbsp. honey
sea salt to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Melt the butter. Add in honey and stir until combined. Add a couple dashes of sea salt.
  2. Pour over freshly made popcorn. Stir well. Taste and add more salt if needed.
  3. Enjoy. (In moderation. This part may be the hardest yet.)
